Dakar NOLA brought an unforgettable experience to life with Taste of Senegal, a five-day immersive journey through the heart of Senegal’s rich culinary and cultural heritage. Led by Chef Serigne Mbaye and Effie Richardson, the experience welcomed travelers to explore West Africa’s vibrant flavors, history, and traditions. Guests indulged in exclusive dining experiences, featuring Chef Serigne Mbaye alongside Chef Fatmata Binta, celebrated for her innovative take on Fulani cuisine, and local Senegalese chefs who showcased the depth of the region’s gastronomy. Beyond the plate, attendees explored Gorée Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the IFAN Museum of African Arts, a studio tour from renowned designer Aissa Dione, and the bustling markets of Dakar. The journey provided a deep connection to Senegalese culture, emphasizing the artistry and storytelling woven into every experience.
